What would your life look like if you could fully commit to your vision without hesitation or fear holding you back?

Are you ready to stop straddling between survival and success and finally plant both feet firmly in the direction of your dreams?

Picture this: You’re standing with your legs apart, each foot resting in a different boat. One boat represents your current job…steady, familiar, and necessary for survival. The other boat is your entrepreneurial vision, the path to your desired life.

What happens when you try to balance both?

Chances are the boats will move apart, and you fall in!

“One half of knowing what you want is knowing what you must give up before you get it.”

Sidney Howard

This is the challenge many entrepreneurs face. I was stuck in the same dilemma when I started my business. One foot was firmly planted in my job, which provided stability…a roof over my head, food for my children, and the means to pay the bills. But while it was enough to survive, it wasn’t enough to thrive. My other foot was planted in the boat of my entrepreneurial dream, the life that promised time, money, freedom, and the ability to create a life of abundance for my family. I wanted so badly to pull my foot out of the job boat and dive fully into my vision, but fear and the need for security kept me straddling both boats and at risk of losing everything.

So, I asked myself: “Where is my commitment?”

At my job, I worked long hours…50 to 60 hours a week, on call, overtime, constantly pouring my energy into someone else’s business. Yet the more time I invested in my job, the more frustrated I became, knowing it wasn’t where I wanted to be. I wanted out, but I didn’t know how to shift my focus without losing the stability I relied on.

The answer came when I committed to my future and adjusted my mindset.

I realized that security didn’t come from my job. Security came from within me. It was born the moment I decided to take a leap of faith and grew stronger each time I faced a challenge, built a plan, and overcame it. The life-changing shift happened when I understood that my job could no longer be my priority if I wanted to create the life I envisioned. My dream demanded focus, and I had to make time for it.

So, I made a plan. I carved out a minimum of two hours four days each week to work on my business.

It was challenging, but I got creative. I woke up earlier, cut out overtime, and became more efficient at work. I hired a housekeeper and enlisted my family’s support. I ruthlessly cut out activities that didn’t move me forward – TV, gossip, and unsupportive friends. I turned my car into a rolling library, listened to motivational audio, and used my workout time to visualize my goals and affirm my vision.

The key to success is focus. Your dream must become non-negotiable, and failure cannot be an option. The minute I fully committed to my dream, everything started to shift. Your higher power will respond when you take that leap of faith and devote consistent time and energy to your vision. People will also begin to understand your priorities, and your world will adjust to support your goals.

Remember, faith is taking action even when you can’t see the whole path. It’s in that action that you build unshakable belief. And with that belief, you will create the life you truly desire.

As you look ahead to 2025, ask yourself: Where are you planting your feet?

Are you ready to step fully into the boat carrying you toward your dreams?

Focus, make time for what truly matters, and watch your vision unfold.

It’s your time. Take a leap of faith. Your destiny is waiting!
