“It is not the strongest or the most intelligent who will survive but those who can best manage change.” – Charles Darwin

Are you ready for change?

It is said that 800 million jobs will be displaced by the year 2030.  That’s ⅕ of the global workforce and 39 million jobs in the US alone.

At the same time, health care costs are rising and there is no promise of pensions and other benefits we once took for granted.

How does it all make you feel? I don’t know about you, but to me, this can be overwhelming.

Consider that in order to navigate through the uncertainty and prepare for what is ahead, you will be required to redefine your definition of security, adapt to new technology and think and act like an entrepreneur. Now, when I say entrepreneur I am not recommending you quit your job. What I am saying is to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Become a master at solving problems by finding innovative solutions for yourself and your family.

Watch my interview with Social Media Strategist, Turiya Hodge as we discuss what we are doing to prepare our mindset for the impact of a changing economy and secure your financial future. Learn the key action that successful people take to navigate crisis, change and chaos.

”Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.” – James Baldwin

At the rate things are changing, it is tempting to ignore what we see to avoid feeling anxiety and fear.  However, simply paying attention to the world around you and viewing your situation through a lens of acceptance can help you to prepare and take the needed steps to adapt.  Below are three key problems you are going to be required to solve and a few guiding questions to prepare yourself for a change you see coming.

#1- Can I cover my basic needs or is there more month left at the end of my money?  While budgeting is a common recommendation this also results in a more restricted lifestyle.  An entrepreneurial mindset would ask the question how do I create new money to add to my existing sources of income.

#2- Can I stop working? Health issues and retirement are two reasons we stop working.  An entrepreneurial mindset would take steps to secure their financial future by finding ways to earn income when they are no longer willing or able to physically work.

#3- If I was suddenly unable to go to work, could I and my family survive? An entrepreneurial mindset would secure a way to create income that is larger than their monthly expenses, right from the comfort of their home.

Adopting an entrepreneurial mindset begins by training and acquiring new as well as conditioning your mind.  It is to challenge yourself to perceive situations differently and find innovative out of the box solutions.  Begin by taking small steps into the unknown instead of waiting and allowing a crisis to throw you unprepared, into an unexpected situation.

What are the qualities successful people use to adapt and embrace change; vision, desire and faith. Look into the future and cast a vision.  Step out on faith and move with a burning desire for success.
